Catholic Rosaries & Chaplets

My Commitment
We are committed to making exclusive, unique, handcrafted Catholic rosaries and chaplets.

My Rosary Making History
In 2003, my little buddy, a Maine Coon mix cat named Gizmo “Gizzy” Todd, was diagnosed with cancer. I began to pray the rosary with him daily for either a miraculous healing or a peaceful passing.
During this time, I tried to locate a rosary for animals, but I could find nothing. My mom showed me how to make rosaries. Hence, I was inspired to make one and the St. Francis Paws 4 Critters Rosaries line began. Since then, I have made many “critter” rosaries for dog and cat lovers. I have also made one for bunnies and crocodiles.
Many folks have used these rosaries to pray with their sick pets. As for Gizzy, he peacefully passed at about 10 p.m. November 20, 2003 while I held him.
In 2004, Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. I thought there ought to be a rosary for people fighting this terrible disease. So, once again, I was inspired to make such a rosary. I started with the Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Rosary. This was the beginning of the Sacred Heart Rosaries line which all my non-critter rosaries fit into. Later, as a special request by a survivor, the Ovarian Cancer Rosary was added. Then, as different colored ribbon beads were found available, the Cancer Awareness Ribbon Rosary was made. Now I offer a rosary for Lung Cancer, Heart Disease/Patients and Diabetes (this rosary is in memory of Dad, who lived with diabetes as a result of Agent Orange), as well as Autism.
Another dedication to Dad, a USAF and Vietnam Veteran, and my cousin, a recent retiree of the USAF, and to all military personnel – past and present – as well as their families, I was inspired to make the St. Michael Yellow Ribbon US Flag Rosary.
This was just the beginning. As time goes on, I am inspired to continue to search for unique rosary parts to make exclusive rosaries.

The Rosary Making Process
I specialize in Jacob’s Ladder rosaries, personalized made-to-order rosaries and unique specialty rosaries which I believe are destined to become family heirloom rosaries. I try to select extraordinary centers, crucifixes, “Our Father” (Pater) beads and “Hail Mary” (Ave) beads. I try to find pieces that compliment each other – something not likely to be found elsewhere. In some instances, I have re-created great rosaries making them, I think, exceptional by just changing one or more aspects of it, sometimes ever so slightly. This is the case for the Advent Rosary, the St. Patrick Shamrock Rosaries (single & ladder), and the Christmas Nativity Holly Rosaries (Czech glass & glass-based pearl). Some examples of unique specialty rosaries which use unique “Our Father” beads are all the critter rosaries, all the health rosaries and the Old Rugged Cross Rosaries. The critter rosaries use cat, dog, rabbit, crocodile-shaped beads. The health rosaries use, mostly, clear lampwork glass beads with colored ribbons on both sides with the exception of the diabetes rosary which uses Czech glass garnet-colored blood-drop shaped beads. The Old Rugged Cross Rosaries use cross-shaped beads.

Some chaplets & rosaries I offer are…
Chaplets: The chaplets I offer have become favorites among many. They include the Divine Mercy Chaplet, Precious Blood Chaplet, Stations of the Cross Chaplet, Five Wounds Chaplet and Seven Sorrows of Mary Chaplet. These chaplets all are similar to what is already on the market; however, they have unique bead combinations that make them one-of-a-kind. For instance, my most popular…the Divine Mercy and Precious Blood Chaplets…use unique beads to emphasize the meaning of these two chaplets. The Divine Mercy Chaplet uses two-tone red/clear Czech glass beads. These beads symbolize both the red and light rays, as well as the blood and water which flowed from Jesus’ side at His crucifixion. The Precious Blood Chaplet combines full-color enameled medals with garnet blood-red Czech pressed glass blood-drop (tear-drop) shaped beads which brings home the shedding of Jesus’ Precious Blood for our sins, allowing us to feel each drop between our fingers. Similarly, the Seven Sorrows of Mary Chaplet uses Czech pressed glass blue tear-drop shaped beads between the medals, allowing us to suffer Mary’s pain and sorrow during each of her seven times of distress and grief.
Critters: Cats, Dogs, Rabbits, Crocodile. The cats, dogs and rabbits are available in a variety of colors but depends on the availability of the colors. The crocodile rosary is only available in emerald green.
Health: Purple Cancer Awareness, Breast Cancer-Pink Ribbon, Ovarian Cancer-Teal Ribbon, Lung Cancer-Crystal with Pearl Ribbon, Heart Disease/Patient-Red Ribbon, Diabetes-Gray Ribbon with Red Blood Dot.
Holy Days: Christmas Nativity Holly Ladder (Czech glass & glass-based pearl), Advent, Passion Lent Ladder, Easter 2 Pentecost Lily.
Saints: Anne, Joseph, Christopher, Anthony, Philomena, Michael, Therese, Jude and Patrick. I also do my best to provide any addition saints upon request.
Sacramental: I do offer First Holy Communion, Confirmation, RCIA, Wedding, 25th & 50th Anniversary Rosaries from time to time.
Jesus & Marian (Czech glass & glass-based pearls): I offer many Jesus and Marian rosaries made from unique base metal parts, as well as unique and attractive genuine pewter parts, combined with Czech glass and/or glass-based pearl beads in a variety of color. The base metal parts are matched by size and detail. The pewter parts are mostly sets, but some are matched by size and detail. These rosaries are available in single strand and/or Jacob’s ladder styles. Ladder styles are often determined by the size of the center and crucifix. Some of the popular combinations include: enameled Lourdes Grotto, enameled Rose Petal, two-tone Gold w/Silver, Dogwood (silver & gold styles), enamel Pearl Encrusted, enameled Roses, full-color portrait Visions of Mary, Lourdes Chapel w/Water, Hematite, enameled Guadalupe. In this group, I also offer a few gemstone bead rosaries – tiger eye, pietersite, hematite, as mentioned above, and from time to time, denim lapis, aventurine, bloodstone, white & natural mother of pearl. In the Old Rugged Cross series, black onyx, red malachite, tiger eye, blue & gold goldstone and amethyst are usually available. Some of my most recent collections are the Stardust Bead and Rose/Rosebud Bead rosaries. The stardust beads are gold and silver plated metal beads. The rose/rosebud beads are lightweight, detailed acrylic available in teal aqua blue, purple plum, deep red, bronze and peridot lime green.
Personalized Rosaries: I offer several personalized rosaries usually made from unique and attractive genuine pewter parts, combined with Czech glass and/or glass-based pearl beads in a variety of color both in single strand or ladder styles. The most popular personalized rosaries are the Family Rosary group. These rosaries mimic the popular Mother’s Ring using the children and/or grandchildren’s birthstone colors. The Mother/Grandmother Rosary uses an enameled gold-plated pewter center and crucifix decorated with roses. In most cases, the “Our Father” bead is a lampwork bead with a rose on each side. The children/grandchildren’s birthstone colors are then represented within the decades, usually in chronological order by oldest to youngest. I try to include the birthstone colors of the parents, if possible, as well. The Father/Grandfather Rosary uses a pewter Papal crucifix with a full-color enameled St. Joseph base metal center. The “Our Father” beads are the father/grandfather’s birthstone color, and the decades are then done much like the Mother/Grandmothers’ Rosary. Other personalized rosaries allow for someone to basically choose the color of either Czech glass or glass-based pearl beads and combine them with their choice of a center-crucifix set.
