This chaplet consists of 7 sets of 3 beads with 1 bead between each set. The 7 sets of 3 beads are deep garnet red representative of the blood Jesus shed while speaking the words from the cross.The 1 bead between each set is a white opalesque aurora borealis bead reminding us His words were not sorrowful, but, instead they were filled with love, mercy, peace and encouragement.

The Pendant portion is set up with 2 cobalt blue beads in honor of Mary, as we pray the Hail Mary in devotion for the painful tears our Blessed Mother shed at the Crucifixion. The next 3 are deep garnet red for Faith, Hope and Love. They are in the same garnet red as the the 3 beads in the body of the chaplet; so, the parts of the chaplet are related. The next single bead is, as in the rosary, the 1st bead of the first mystery, in this case the 1st set of words from the cross.
