Five Wounds Chaplet

Five Wounds Chaplet

Manufacturer: Handcrafted by Robyn
SKU: 1010
Price: $25.00
Quantity:
Five Wounds Chaplet
Ruby Red Blood Drop Shaped Beads
Jesus' Five Wounds: Left Foot, Right Foot, Left Hand, Right Hand, Sacred Side

EXCLUSIVELY crafted by Robyn!

Each bead of the Five Wounds Chaplet is a Czech pressed glass Ruby Red Blood-droplet bead.

Each medal between the five bead "decades" is a full-color portrait of each of the 5 Wounds Jesus suffered at the Crucifixion. The reverse side of the medals depicts the Seven (7) Swords that pierced the Blessed Mother's heart, as prophesied by Simeon at the "Presentation of our Lord" (4th mystery of the Rosary's Joyful Mysteries)

Generally, the medals are so arranged that we meditate first on the Wound in the left foot of Our Lord, then those in the right foot, the left hand, right hand, and finally the wounds in the sacred side.
Information taken from:
Twenty-Four Rosaries and Chaplets Compiled by Patrick Shaughnessy, O.S.B., S.T.D.

The Five (5) Wounds of Jesus:
{Depicted on the front of each two-sided medal; the Mater Dolorosa / Sorrowful Mother with the seven (7) swords on the reverse}
  1. Left Foot
  2. Right Foot
  3. Left Hand
  4. Right Hand
  5. Sacred Side
This chaplet measures approx. 15" (inches) in length including the pendant portion.

Medals: Full-color depictions of each of the first (1st) 4 Wounds Jesus suffered at the Crucifixion (listed above). Reverse depicts the Seven (7) Swards that pierced the Blessed Mother's heart.
"Glory Be" (ordinarily Hail Mary's) beads: 10x6mm Czech pressed glass Ruby Red Blood-droplet bead.
Center: The silver tone oval full color center depicts the Fifth (5th) Wound Jesus suffered at the Crucifixion (listed above). Reverse depicts the Seven (7) Swords that pierced the Blessed Mother's heart.
Crucifix: There is no crucifix on the chaplet; instead, a silver tone oval full color medal depicting Jesus' Sacred Heart. The reverse is the Seven (7) Swords that pierced the Blessed Mother's heart.
