Exquisite rosary featuring the Holy Eucharist. Each “Hail Mary” bead is amber aurora borealis symbolizing the “bread” of the Last Supper and Jesus, the Bread of Life. Each “Our Father” bead is ruby set in a red cloisonné bead cap bringing to mind the cup/chalice of Jesus’ blood, which He shed for all for the forgiveness of sins.
Jesus took bread, gave a prayer of thanks, broke it, and gave it to His disciples: “Take and eat it; this is my body.” Then He took a cup, gave thanks to God and gave it to them: “Drink it, all of you, this is my blood, which seals God’s covenant, my blood poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.” ~ Matthew 26:26-28
The center has a full-color depiction of the Eucharistic Cup with an image of Jesus’ thorn-crowned head on the Host on one side and a stained glass image of the Last Supper on the other. The unique, finely detailed crucifix depicts the story of the Loaves and Fishes whereby Jesus fed the multitudes, as well as Jesus being the Bread of Life! Jesus overlooking Jerusalem (aka Jesus Meditating) is on the lower portion of the cross and the Eucharist (cup and host) with the letters ‘IHS’ are at the top.
This rosary would make a great gift for someone completing RCIA or making their First Holy Communion.
This is a 5 decade rosary. It measures approx. 20" (inches) in length including the crucifix.
Our Father beads: 6mm Czech glass round faceted Ruby Red bead with Red Cloisonné bead-cap represents the Eucharistic Cup/Chalice which holds Jesus’ holy Blood, which He shed for all for the forgiveness of sins.
Hail Mary beads: 6mm Czech glass round faceted Amber AB (AB: Aurora Borealis finish) beads represent the Bread of Life, Jesus, in the Holy Eucharist. The beads also remind us of the story of the loaves and fishes depicted on the crucifix.
